The corner led Los Podridos ll's Juan Carlos Messi to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Poças despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. José Bomba scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Omar Falleto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças got control of the ball when Ulises Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to F.C. Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Bóas Pernas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Los Podridos ll's Desiderio Arlo got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Igor Tudor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Falleto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Costa in the 19th minute of play. Los Podridos ll's Filiberto Erramu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Miguel Poças but with some difficulty. With a left leg Omar Falleto saved Los Podridos ll from getting behind. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Podridos ll's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Igor Tudor was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. Paços de Ferreira's players had a chance to rest. Omar Falleto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Bóas Pernas got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half F.C. Paços de Ferreira were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Bomba made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Los Podridos ll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Erramu to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Liher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Poças was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 67 minutes into the match, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Igor Tudor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Falleto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-3 when José Bomba sped through Los Podridos ll's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Omar Falleto. Los Podridos ll's Omar Falleto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Secco in the 70th minute of play. Ladislao Tristan charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladislao Tristan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Fabrício Travassos was substituted for João Maia. Leandro Dunixi took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Poças. Miguel Poças dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 91st minute, Igor Tudor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 92 minutes, Leandro Dunixi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Podridos ll's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Dunixi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leandro Dunixi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
