Gervasio Chano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dursun Ekinci having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Gençlerbirliği's Constantijn Airpoel made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeronimo Millan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dursun Ekinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Chano in the 63rd minute of play. Jeronimo Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislaw Rekowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Gençlerbirliği's Jean-Claude van Damme was substituted for Conrado Romero. Filiph Låsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jean-Claude van Damme took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeronimo Millan. Jeronimo Millan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2.
