Ermengol Alberete started the match with the kick off. Teodoro Hartz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sindo Porregimon having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Hartz came free, but Sindo Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ksawery Furgal in the 8th minute of play. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artal Baltanas in the 10th minute of the match. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artal Baltanas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cumhur Günay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sindo Porregimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Socavon FC's Sindo Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Hartz in the 23rd minute of play. Carroll Mansfield made a great header on Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's corner, it was just that Socavon FC's Sindo Porregimon managed to reach the ball for a save. 28 minutes into the match, Artal Baltanas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the game, Artal Baltanas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rogério Ceni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Ermengol Alberete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pawel Kon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Edu Dum hit a great ball. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fehmi Erdemer in the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when Artal Baltanas came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artal Baltanas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Ceni having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Hartz was the one to do the kick off. Sindo Porregimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cumhur Günay in the 53rd minute of the match. Navin Dale made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edu Dum immediately put the ball in play. 55 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Teodoro Hartz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sindo Porregimon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Artal Baltanas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Guillermo Frank was substituted for Steve Harris. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Herbert Pracki was substituted for Teodoro Hartz. Socavon FC made a substitution. Jacindo Oria replaced Thomás Pollack. In the 69th minute of the game Jacindo Oria made a throw-in which Intxixu Huarte played forward. 69 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Intxixu Huarte. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Intxixu Huarte in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermengol Alberete in the 75th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Cumhur Günay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS made a substitution. Melchor Markel replaced Cumhur Günay. Socavon FC made a substitution. Bernaldo Maquibar replaced Marquez Dolarea. In the 86th minute Intxixu Huarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Melchor Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano LOS PIRATAS from getting a goal against them.

The Socavon FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Socavon FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
