After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Didi Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. GeRaÇãO-83's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. GeRaÇãO-83's Dieguinho Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Lluc in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Pilar FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Firmo. Dieguinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dove Carrat in the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Paulinho Ralf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GeRaÇãO-83's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Ralf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40thth minute of the game Didi Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilar FC's Cirilo Micael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cirilo Micael came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by GeRaÇãO-83's Didi Couto. But to his dismay, Didi Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Pilar FC's Federico Truylos got a free kick in the 46th minute. With 48 minutes on the clock, Nicolas Valentini commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 47th minute, one of Pilar FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pilar FC. Cirilo Micael had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Billy Backman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cirilo Micael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Backman went, in the 49th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Didi Couto made a kick off. Cirilo Micael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Mineiro in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Ralf came free, but Cirilo Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, GeRaÇãO-83's Joaquim Veloso got a free kick in the 58th minute. Cirilo Micael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Mineiro in the 67th minute of play. When Pilar FC's Paolo Lalla in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GeRaÇãO-83's goalie prevented a goal. Cirilo Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pilar FC's Cirilo Micael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Couto in the 76th minute of play. GeRaÇãO-83's Diguinho Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cirilo Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 90 played minutes GeRaÇãO-83 got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Veloso. Dieguinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Couto to maneuver through the defense.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Pilar FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GeRaÇãO-83.
