One of Sabaneta FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cavaliers FC:s goal. After 40 played minutes Sabaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Villagrán. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Higinio Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavaliers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Eate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Estebanez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sabaneta FC's Jonatan Mocellar was substituted for Clemente Ruy. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Eate to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Estebanez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 57th minute, Higinio Eate ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Angulo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Villegas. Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cuarto Alvarez's late challenge caught a Cavaliers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cuarto Alvarez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sabaneta FC's Cuarto Alvarez got a free kick in the 74th minute. Lautaro Estebanez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Eate in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Cavaliers FC's Gerardo Cuenca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
