Laureano Pelayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Yanic Kulenovic made a huge save. After 13 minutes, Moises Tercero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanús and the FC Wil 1900 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tercero. Tomas Zoller kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Vagner Penisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alvaro Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Lanús's Yanic Kulenovic threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moises Tercero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 31 minutes, Moises Tercero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanús's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tercero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yanic Kulenovic made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Laureano Pelayo sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes, Tomas Zoller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Wil 1900 and the Lanús players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Tomas Zoller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 42nd minute of the match Moises Tercero completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Moises Tercero a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The wind increased when Laureano Pelayo made the kick off in the second half. Norbert von Rohr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Alvaro Regis made a huge save. Marcos Lidon's late challenge caught a FC Wil 1900's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lanús's Alvaro Regis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vagner Penisson in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Keno Bösch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Regis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gert Jeanneret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vagner Penisson might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Regis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vagner Penisson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Marcos Lidon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Keno Bösch managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Wil 1900's supporters rose to their feet, but Keno Bösch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Konstantin Bocchi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wil 1900's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanús the free kick. Konstantin Bocchi hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Vagner Penisson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Wil 1900 fans jumped to their feet. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Wil 1900 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
