Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dudu Queiroz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Seraċini Għawdxin. Steve Rizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Jailson de Carvalho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steve Rizzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dudu Queiroz made a great header on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner, it was just that Seraċini Għawdxin's Steve Rizzo managed to reach the ball for a save. Jailson de Carvalhos short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Steve Rizzo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 95 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Timothy Cini.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nova Iguaçu MZFC had won after a very even match.
