FC Fanaticii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Rio Cuarto the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Adrian Jitaru got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astor Arotza got free with Emanuel Giurcă in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 22 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Caetano. Alvaro Pabla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Bărăian, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Emanuel Giurcă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Arotza. In the 33rd minute, Adrian Jitaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Pabla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Ganea in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Alvaro Pabla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's Marius Ganea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Pabla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56thth minute of the game Marius Ganea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Rio Cuarto's Alvaro Pabla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bogdan Buzea hit a great ball. With a little luck, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Alvaro Pabla got control of the ball when Adrian Jitaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Giurcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Ado, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Napier to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Fanaticii booed when Atlético Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Lonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Bărăian got free with Alvaro Pabla in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Alvaro Pabla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Jitaru in the 87th minute of play. Emanuel Giurcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Benvide in the 95th minute of play.

When the match was over FC Fanaticii could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Rio Cuarto throughout the match.
