An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Donatello in the 7th minute of play forced Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ian Browne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gracie Barra's Leopoldo Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart Brayson in the 15th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Scriven. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio Reis during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Gracie Barra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Reis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Orlando do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gracie Barra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stuart Brayson scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Pirani in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Browne saved Gone With the Win from getting behind. Leopoldo Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Brayson in the 37th minute of the match. Ollie Kennedy charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ollie Kennedy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chicão Donatello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ian Browne. Gone With the Win's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gone With the Win's Ian Browne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Gone With the Win from getting a goal against them. Ollie Kennedy lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gone With the Win fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Gone With the Win:s Ian Browne showed great skill when he stopped Chicão Donatello:s penalty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimmy Mulford made a kick off. The supporters of Gracie Barra booed when Gone With the Win was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Wishart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gone With the Win's Ian Browne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Pirani in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Orlando do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicão Donatello was slow to take the kick. During this time Gracie Barra's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gracie Barra's Chicão Donatello to fire away a dangerous shot which Ian Browne despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leopoldo Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Rogozinskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Gracie Barra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gone With the Win:s goal. Leopoldo Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Rogozinskiy in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Gracie Barra getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. In the 70th minute Cacá Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Browne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Pirani in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ian Browne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gracie Barra's Igor Pirani in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gone With the Win's goalie prevented a goal. Ian Browne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Pirani went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 82nd play minutes Igor Pirani shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Ian Browne and just under the crossbar into goal. Ian Browne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar de Amorim came free, but Ian Browne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ian Browne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Baltazar de Amorim in the 96th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gone With the Win eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
