Abelardo Escerza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 24th match minute, En avant de guingamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcom Gauvrit to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, En avant de guingamp's Maelgwn Le Meur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Escerza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Lucas Jurado got a free kick in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as En avant de guingamp's Maelgwn Le Meur slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Escerza. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marco-Antonio Figueroa hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Lucas Jurado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zorros del Desierto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 45th minute, Camilo Pino made a precise shot to the right of Pierre-Henri Oudard. En avant de guingamp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

In the 56th minute, Marcel Mugnier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zorros del Desierto's Darien Mantilla was substituted for Lucas Jurado. The supporters of Zorros del Desierto booed when En avant de guingamp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Mugnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Sébastien Manin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, Marco-Antonio Figueroa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pierre-Henri Oudard. Marco-Antonio Figueroa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. In the 76th match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Pino to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maelgwn Le Meur in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Escerza saved Zorros del Desierto from getting behind. After having played for 84 minutes, Marco-Antonio Figueroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco-Antonio Figueroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. En avant de guingamp's Marius Bruna got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
