Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mitch Van De Wyngaert got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwen Wegers in the 6th minute of play forced Suikerklontjes's goalkeeper Sammy Godts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Mitch Van De Wyngaert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beek City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suikerklontjes the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Van De Wyngaert to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, Mickael Van Cleijnenbreugel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beek City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suikerklontjes the free kick. After 9 played minutes Beek City got a freekick which was hit by Mickael Van Cleijnenbreugel. Herald Van de Goor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Laurence Luyten made a huge save. 12 minutes into the game, Gwen Wegers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sammy Godts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laurence Luyten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoachim Hauwaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Suikerklontjes's goal looked a bit too open when Gwen Wegers came free, but Sammy Godts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwen Wegers took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sammy Godts. Sammy Godts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. A collision led to Suikerklontjes getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Herald Van de Goor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwen Wegers in the 40th minute of play forced Suikerklontjes's goalkeeper Sammy Godts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Suikerklontjes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stefan Vercammen was slow to take the kick. During this time Beek City's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Stefan Vercammen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Suikerklontjes's Sammy Godts did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Bryan Van Deuren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suikerklontjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryan Van Deuren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurence Luyten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Yoachim Hauwaerts made the kick off in the second half. If Ryan Kempenaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurence Luyten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bart Van de Velde's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Ryan Kempenaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Laurence Luyten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwen Wegers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Godts having to interfere. During the 72nd minute of the match Mitch Van De Wyngaert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mitch Van De Wyngaert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mitch Van De Wyngaert kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Beek City were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Suikerklontjes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stefan Vercammen took the corner. After taking down the ball on Beek City's corner Stefan Vercammen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sammy Godts quite easily take care of the ball. When Gwen Wegers came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Beek City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwen Wegers couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Beek City's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Van de Velde came free, but Laurence Luyten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart Van de Velde in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurence Luyten saved Beek City from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Gwen Wegers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sammy Godts, 0-4. Sammy Godts came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Beek City's Gwen Wegers. But to his dismay, Gwen Wegers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5.
The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Beek City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
