After a defensive mix-up in Pucará's zone, Paolo Caradaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Ojeda came out of the goal and Paolo Caradaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Firmo in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Pucará's goalkeeper Marcelo Ojeda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Caradaro. Marcelo Ojeda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Jaizki went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Marcelo Ojeda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Jaizki got free with Marcelo Ojeda in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute of the match Faustino Sayveon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Germano skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Artizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The corner led Pucará's Dario Artizar to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Germano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcelo Ojeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Caradaro in the 59th minute of the match. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Sand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes, Club Atlético Atlanta's Hermengildo Erroman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelo Ojeda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Atlanta reached it.
