The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Jago during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Urbano Jago got a free kick in the 10th minute. Marco Frutos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Jago in the 19th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Oscar Gines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Gustavo Pacifico hit a great ball. After 25 minutes of play Vikingos FC's Simon Liher was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Andrzej Debkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrzej Debkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Andrzej Debkowski got a free kick in the 29th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Oscar Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikingos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesus Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Jakes in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Urbano Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Gines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Club were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Vikingos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustavo Pacifico took the corner. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Debkowski to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Oscar Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikingos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute of the game, Honorato Aureo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 53 minutes, Robustiano Laurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Vikingos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filomeno Venerando hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Argoitz in the 64th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Jesus Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Jago in the 65th minute of play. Racing Club's Jesus Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Argoitz in the 68th minute of play. Jesus Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Argoitz in the 70th minute of the match. Vikingos FC's Cornelio Leocadio was substituted for Oscar Oroitz. In the 73rd minute of the match Vikingos FC got a corner. Racing Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Segundo Balendin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 74th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Jago to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Balendin made a great header on Vikingos FC's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Jesus Gartxot managed to reach the ball for a save. Salvador Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Argoitz in the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bela. Gustavo Pacifico, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Vikingos FC's Gonzalo Argoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesus Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Argoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.
The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Vikingos FC's Lázaro Millrick started the play with his kick off. 103 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Oscar Gines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Debkowski. Andrzej Debkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Gines came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrzej Debkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 103rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Racing Club could leave the field as winners, despite Vikingos FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
