Shippensburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Amazonas the free kick. Xuaco Carro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dale Hollis having to make a save. After the first half Shippensburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urrutia Hubieta was the one to do the kick off. Rafael Ariste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dale Hollis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bohórquez Salcines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denver Jackson in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Cody Heller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xuaco Carro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denver Jackson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Bohórquez Salcines made a huge save. Urrutia Hubieta got in the 76th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dale Hollis handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Xuaco Carro struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Dale Hollis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Amazonas. UD Amazonas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urrutia Hubieta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cody Heller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bohórquez Salcines having to interfere. Denver Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute.
