UC Eirense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caiuba the free kick. After 8 played minutes UC Eirense got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Melo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedito Melo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Melo in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Varela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Danilo Ramos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Varela having to make a save. A collision led to Caiuba getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Belmiro Nogueira hit a great ball. Diogo Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Caiuba booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Sobral didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, UC Eirense's goal looked a bit too open when Betão Queiroz came free, but Germano Lousada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Caiuba defense, Danilo Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Varela. The Caiuba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Varela should have stopped the shot. Danilo Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Marco Varela made a huge save. If Danilo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diogo Palma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Varela came out and tried to block the shot, but Diogo Palma slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Danilo Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Marco Varela. Caiuba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as UC Eirense's Diogo Palma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Varela. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. 45 minutes into the match, Caiuba's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Palma came free, but Marco Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Palma in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caiuba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danilo Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time UC Eirense's players had a chance to rest. Cesário Costa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Luiz Paulo do Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. Márcio Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Diogo Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Diogo Palma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Paulino Rebocho lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Paulino Rebocho kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, UC Eirense's Danilo Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Betão Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Germano Lousada made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Caiuba's Luiz Paulo do Nascimento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-1. In the 80th minute, Benedito Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UC Eirense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedito Melo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Varela saved Caiuba from getting behind. Luiz Paulo do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Danilo Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. UC Eirense's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
