With a little luck, UC Eirense's Germano Lousada got control of the ball when Riccardo Fleck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesário Costa lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of Burtonwood booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesário Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorato Palhares hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philip Todeschini during the 34th minute. Felix Matt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Veríssimo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. UC Eirense's Danilo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Burtonwood defense, Benedito Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Matt. The Burtonwood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Matt should have stopped the shot. If Danilo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felix Matt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes UC Eirense got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Palma. After 69 minutes of play, Burtonwood's Riccardo Fleck made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Germano Lousada was left in no man's land by his defense there! Danilo Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Felix Matt made a huge save. Felix Matt came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by UC Eirense's Danilo Ramos. But to his dismay, Danilo Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Riccardo Fleck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Felix Matt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germano Lousada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riccardo Fleck in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Burtonwood booed when UC Eirense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Palhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Diogo Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Lukas Maria Gisinger sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UC Eirense's Germano Lousada didn't even have to move. The UC Eirense supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UC Eirense would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
