Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Paulo do Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Selby FC's Bo Renny got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Renny in the 7th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Bo Renny elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Selby FC's Bo Renny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Caiuba's Marco Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Renny in the 28th minute of play. Marco Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Reilly in the 29th minute of play. Marco Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Renny's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute of the game Caetano Pitta made a throw-in which Betão Queiroz played forward. Marco Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Renny, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bo Renny made a kick off. Caiuba's Marco Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Renny in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Martin Quelch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selby FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Quelch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Selby FC's Kirk Reilly got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jenkins Kuskopf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Bo Renny in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 60th minute Bo Renny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Selby FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Tony Mcroberts hit a great ball. Bo Renny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Renny in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Varela saved Caiuba from getting behind. Luiz Paulo do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Caiuba booed when Selby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Mcroberts didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Renny in the 90th minute of play forced Caiuba's goalkeeper Marco Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kirk Reilly in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, Caiuba's Luiz Paulo do Nascimento made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jenkins Kuskopf was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Selby FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
