With a little luck, La Bichineta's Silvestre Peli got control of the ball when Anderson Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Várzea F.C.'s Silvestre Peli threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmiro Licerio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Silvestre Peli came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Anderson Paiva. But to his dismay, Anderson Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Silvestre Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Carlos Augusto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried Teunens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfried Teunens might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Augusto Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Godfried Teunens ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Godfried Teunens came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Licerio in the 38th minute of the match. If Dorival de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfried Teunens in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dorival de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Carlos Augusto Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. La Bichineta's Vennard Rojak was substituted for Dorival de Azevedo. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Silvestre Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Licerio came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes La Bichineta got a freekick which was hit by Sun Yuan Zheng. Várzea F.C.'s Dé Montenegro was substituted for Jude Monkhouse. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Daniel Isăceanu replaced João Francisco Tande. Sun Yuan Zheng hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. La Bichineta's Silvestre Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Paiva in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Licerio in the 75th minute of play forced La Bichineta's goalkeeper Silvestre Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Pirmin hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Licerio came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Saldanha in the 78th minute of the match. La Bichineta's Amado Filipo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
