FC Steaua Pildesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Sebastian Käller scored to the left of an out of position Marian Văduvescu, making the score, 2-0. In the 14th minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Griguță made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nistor Costandache however managed to control. When Filip Paulescu fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Steaua Pildesti's protests and gave Filip Paulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Filip Paulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Käller in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Văduvescu saved FC Steaua Pildesti from getting behind. Sebastian Käller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marian Văduvescu having to make a save. Sebastian Käller might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marian Văduvescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Käller ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilhelm Galle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Stere in the 40th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Filip Paulescu in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kind of Blue's Ardahan Erginer.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Käller made a kick off. If Sebastian Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Käller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marian Văduvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Kind of Blue got a corner. FC Steaua Pildesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joacim Hansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Håkan Mild was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 58 minutes FC Steaua Pildesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joacim Hansson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Kind of Blue's Håkan Mild to a score. 5-0 in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute Lucian Stere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Galle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Käller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marian Văduvescu was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Sebastian Käller sped through FC Steaua Pildesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marian Văduvescu. Kind of Blue's Östen Högman was substituted for Zhuo Ke Le. After 75 minutes Kind of Blue's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. In the 79th minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Văduvescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sebastian Käller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Käller in the 84th minute of the match. Marian Văduvescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Kind of Blue's Sebastian Käller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kind of Blue's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
