The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Habil Castolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Selatse was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Eutor came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, the xeneise dream team's Vinicio Aires got control of the ball when Emiliano Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Eutor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. the xeneise dream team's Vinicio Aires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Dinu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Aires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Velasco in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Aires saved the xeneise dream team from getting behind. After 41 played minutes the xeneise dream team got a freekick which was hit by Nereo Roldanillo. Habil Castolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Selatse having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Velasco to make the kick off. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. When Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye the xeneise dream team's goalie prevented a goal. But to his dismay, Alvaro Raymond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fernando Selatse was a little too slow when Paolo Eutor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-1. the xeneise dream team made a substitution. Aquiles Mikolas replaced Habil Castolo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 93rd minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Vinicio Aires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinicio Aires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Alvaro Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Aires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. the xeneise dream team walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
