But to his dismay, Lars Sundström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alaaddin Solskjær was a little too slow when Nicolae Barbu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-1. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Steaua Pildesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roni Ronaldinho was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Kurdistan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Kurdistan's corner Emanuel Åström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marian Văduvescu quite easily take care of the ball. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Steaua Pildesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roni Ronaldinho was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Kurdistan's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to FC Kurdistan's Emanuel Åström getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Marian Văduvescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Sundström's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Yin Yun Fan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alaaddin Solskjær made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filip Paulescu in the 34th minute. FC Kurdistan's attentive Keefer Carragher managed to snatch the ball when Constantin Deșliu made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's Fredric Hybbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Văduvescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Filip Paulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Sundström in the 47th minute of the match. When FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Steaua Pildesti's goalie prevented a goal. A nice corner shot did that Roni Ronaldinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marian Văduvescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Lars Sundström made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nicolae Barbu hit a great ball. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Sundström in the 63rd minute of play. Lars Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lars Sundström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marian Văduvescu. That made the score 1-4 in the 70 minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alaaddin Solskjær made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. FC Kurdistan's Iwan Kasiewski was substituted for Emanuel Åström. FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Nordgren in the 84th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Elliot Nordgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Marian Văduvescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elliot Nordgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Nordgren in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Nordgren came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Stere in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded FC Kurdistan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Steaua Pildesti.
