The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dan Junilă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zhao Sen Yang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Matos in the 32nd minute of play. Zhao Sen Yang had several of the Nychyporivka Ψ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Dan Junilă as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Lucas Matos put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ivan Chiuzbaian. Lucas Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Chiuzbaian having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Nychyporivka Ψ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-.
