But to his dismay, Manuel Cordarell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Aurelio Di Lullo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When Edmondo Porcu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valdieri's protests and gave Edmondo Porcu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Edmondo Porcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceferino Sotero charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Sotero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ceferino Sotero hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Aurelio Di Lullo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Cordarell in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Valery in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Di Lullo saved Valdieri from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Cordarell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Cordarell in the 37th minute of play forced Valdieri's goalkeeper Aurelio Di Lullo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Di Lullo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Alessandro Torri got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute Manuel Cordarell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Di Lullo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Attilio Fortunato to strike the kick off in the second half. Manuel Cordarell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Di Lullo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Valery in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Buzarda FC booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulvio Bozzelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Cordarell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Aurelio Di Lullo made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Cordarell got free with Aurelio Di Lullo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Valdieri defense, Bonifacio Estebe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo. The Valdieri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Di Lullo should have stopped the shot.
