Dacian Ghițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedict Sheppard in the 31st minute of the match. Fu Feng Chong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Costel Gurgui kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Fu Feng Chong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Phoenix in the 44th minute of the match. Nistor Vermeşan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Golo Phoenix to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Uncheşelu to maneuver through the defense. The AC米兰 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca made a substitution. Virgil Jupân replaced Felix Mihăilescu. The supporters of AC米兰 booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Şimonca didn't get a good kick on the ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting a goal against them. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AC米兰's performance. The match ended with a win for AC米兰.
