Xandeco FC's Nando Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Xandeco FC from getting a goal against them. János Oltean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Iulian Negulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Proença having to interfere. When Academia Rio's Horia Irimescu in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Xandeco FC's Nando Proença got control of the ball when Horia Irimescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breno Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Fernandinho Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Mendonça's late challenge caught a Academia Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Xandeco FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Caetano Mendonça hit a great ball. Guilherme da Mata lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 61st minute, one of Xandeco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Xandeco FC. The referee gave Academia Rio a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Horia Berceanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Xandeco FC's Nando Proença. 5-1. 71 minutes into the game, Horia Irimescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Nando Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Horia Irimescu put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nando Proença. Cezar Jder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. János Oltean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Proença having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Horia Irimescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Xandeco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Negulescu came free, but Nando Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Xandeco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horia Berceanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 87 minutes Xandeco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horia Berceanu who took care of the corner kick. Horia Irimescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nando Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Irimescu in the 95th minute of the match. After 97 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Mahonea.
