In the 39thth minute of the game Teobaldo Milian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Koper's Bine Šercelj was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 minutes, Teobaldo Milian made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Koper's Bine Šercelj tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Rene Luzea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bine Šercelj was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Bine Šercelj stood somewhat misplaced when Teobaldo Milian came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Teobaldo Milian in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bine Šercelj, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Club Atlético Atlanta's Rene Luzea got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Honesto to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Teobaldo Milian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Donato Nalo fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Donato Nalo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Nalo to maneuver through the defense.
