Francisco Lacunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Honorato Mannie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Juan Luis Alfaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honorato Mannie. Cachiyuyo EAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Luis Alfaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 38 minutes of play, Inter de Chillán's Juan Luis Alfaro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorato Mannie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Cachiyuyo EAS's zone, Juan Luis Alfaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Mannie came out of the goal and Juan Luis Alfaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Juan Luis Alfaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Mannie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Luis Alfaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Juan Luis Alfaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Honorato Mannie. The goal made the score 0-6. Barni San Martín charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barni San Martín the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cachiyuyo EAS booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barni San Martín didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Francisco Lacunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Lacunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Mannie was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Juan Luis Alfaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juan Luis Alfaro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Ian Gillan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 82 in the game by Juan Luis Alfaro from a close distance when the talented Honorato Mannie managed to make a qualified save. Cachiyuyo EAS's players were relieved. Honorato Mannie was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Francisco Lacunza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Lacunza really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. When the match was over Inter de Chillán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cachiyuyo EAS throughout the match.
