In the 13th minute Duardo Cameno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's Andr茅 Onana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Hegoi in the 15th minute of play. M贸nico Ponce de Le贸n sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duardo Cameno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Ignacio Ebere scored to the left of an out of position Andr茅 Onana, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Club El Progreso's zone, M贸nico Ponce de Le贸n stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Fernanco came out of the goal and M贸nico Ponce de Le贸n tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andr茅 Onana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Hegoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andr茅 Onana made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ignacio Ebere sent off a good shot on target. JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's Duardo Cameno got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ignacio Ebere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Andr茅 Onana made a huge save. JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's Andr茅 Onana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS from getting a goal against them. Andr茅 Onana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Ebere in the 45th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Apolo Ramos could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Andr茅 Onana however easily saved by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when M贸nico Ponce de Le贸n made the kick off in the second half. If Duardo Cameno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Ramos in the 56th minute of play forced JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS's goalkeeper Andr茅 Onana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alfredo Avila the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alfredo Avila had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Avila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Pascual Gomesano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club El Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Gomesano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andr茅 Onana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Club El Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the JubiladosPlayasdeMalagaFS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club El Progreso.
