Danilo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Aritza in the 16th minute of play. Leandro Cordarin scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes, Leandro Cordarin made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Alves in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Venancio Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Balvanera's Florencio Paz was substituted for Lorenzo Berto. Eusebio Lehoi struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Danilo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Balvanera. In the 71st minute, Leandro Cordarin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Deportivo Balvanera's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
