The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Radomil Mindykowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BYDGOSTIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Mindykowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Gwidon Cieliczka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stasio Rozanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenon Waldoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Mindykowski in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Radomil Mindykowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Korneliusz Grucza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Waldoch having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Wiktor Wierzbicki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astral Roots Gdynia and the BYDGOSTIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Radomil Mindykowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Waldoch having to interfere. A hard shot 35 in the game by Radomil Mindykowski from a close distance when the talented Zenon Waldoch managed to make a qualified save. Astral Roots Gdynia's players were relieved. Radomil Mindykowskis short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Zenon Waldoch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Radomil Mindykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute, BYDGOSTIA's Radomil Mindykowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 45 played minutes Astral Roots Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Walery Wiater. Franciszek Wierzcholek was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radomil Mindykowski made a kick off. If Gwidon Cieliczka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwidon Cieliczka during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gwidon Cieliczka hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gwidon Cieliczka was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 57th match minute, Astral Roots Gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Cieliczka to maneuver through the defense. Radomil Mindykowski hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Zenon Waldoch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radomil Mindykowski's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Mindykowski in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zenon Waldoch saved Astral Roots Gdynia from getting behind. Kajetan Olejasz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kajetan Olejasz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BYDGOSTIA booed when Astral Roots Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Olejasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Astral Roots Gdynia's Kajetan Olejasz got a free kick in the 66th minute. Hieronim Brudnicki took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zenon Waldoch. Zenon Waldoch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 72 played minutes BYDGOSTIA got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Bierfass. Korneliusz Grucza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hieronim Brudnicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Hieronim Brudnicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Waldoch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Astral Roots Gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jedrzej Penc to maneuver through the defense. When BYDGOSTIA's Hieronim Brudnicki in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astral Roots Gdynia's goalie prevented a goal.
