After taking down the ball on ADM Taquaras's corner Oliver Bierhoff fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sidney Motta quite easily take care of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Oliver Bierhoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidney Motta. Imbituba - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Bierhoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
