The crowd rose to their feet as Paranhos Ariranha FC's Cristóvão Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edinho Pirani. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Orange in the 10th minute of play forced Paranhos Ariranha FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Cristóvão Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Pirani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paranhos Ariranha FC's Gaspar Gilesindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Orange in the 13th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edinho Pirani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Zico Orange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gilesindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arí Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gaspar Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno-Henrique Orange in the 42nd minute of play. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Casemiro Orange quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Maia, made in the 44th minute of the game. Paranhos Ariranha FC made a substitution. Honorato Afonso replaced Guillermo Baleren. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cristóvão Mattos ran back to his position shaking his head. When Paranhos Ariranha FC's Cristóvão Mattos in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Gaspar Gilesindo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ played a much better game than Paranhos Ariranha FC and deserved their victory. The Paranhos Ariranha FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
