Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximilian Henning in the 21st minute of the match. The throw-in from Hakem Al Khames in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Despidida AFC's Oliver Rizzo. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximilian Henning, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alvaro Raymond did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised August Hoffmanns 26 minutes into the match. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cain Velasquez hit a great ball. Alvaro Raymond struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. August Hoffmanns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despidida AFC. After 36 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. August Hoffmanns was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Lucila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kajetan Gdowik made a great header on Despidida AFC's corner, it was just that Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns managed to reach the ball for a save. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximilian Henning in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After 64th play minutes Emiliano Velasco shot 5-0, a short shot which went by August Hoffmanns and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Haupt got free with Fernando Selatse in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Velasco in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Ivănescu in the 87th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mesut Özil in the 88th minute. August Hoffmanns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emiliano Velasco went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. If Emiliano Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Mesut Özil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mesut Özil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Selatse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Ivănescu in the 96th minute of the match. Despidida AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rot-Weiss-Essen for a fine match.
