Abel Aureo took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. EL TITAN M.P.'s Luisito Jesco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hakem Al Khames in the 19 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Abel Aureo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mesut Özil in the 31st minute of play forced EL TITAN M.P.'s goalkeeper Apolo Maule to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anestis Kotsopoulos struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Apolo Maule didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rot-Weiss-Essen. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Aureo made a kick off. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal and Abel Aureo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anestis Kotsopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Maule having to make a save. After having played for 55 minutes, Mesut Özil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mesut Özil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximilian Henning made a great header on Rot-Weiss-Essen's corner, it was just that EL TITAN M.P.'s Apolo Maule managed to reach the ball for a save. 60 minutes into the game, Hakem Al Khames threw the ball into play from the sideline. Apolo Maule didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rot-Weiss-Essen fully deserved thier win.
