An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien Korfs in the 77th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Victorino Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palermo made a substitution. Jhonny Del Fierro replaced Santiago Mino. Victorino Francis made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Hector Pello sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Patryk Wiater left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Palermo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
