After 7 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Gorzkiewicz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Felo got free with Tony Arruda in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcelino Chaime's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tony Arruda firmly grabbed it by the left post. Santiago Mino took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Arruda. Tony Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Westbam's Tony Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Westbam from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Pawlak, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Chaime came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes, Arnoldo Medina made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Westbam's Tony Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santiago Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tony Arruda made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Teodoro Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Arnoldo Medina made a precise shot to the right of Tony Arruda. Westbam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 42nd minute of the match, Santiago Mino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tony Arruda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yavuz Selim Altunışık during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Westbam getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Yavuz Selim Altunışık hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 50 minutes, Santiago Mino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo and the Westbam players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santiago Mino hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tony Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Santiago Mino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 65th minute, Santiago Mino made a precise shot to the right of Tony Arruda. Westbam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Palermo were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Westbam's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Felo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Marcelino Chaime got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tony Arruda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Westbam's Tony Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Chaime in the 70th minute of play. When Yavuz Selim Altunışık was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After 72 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Yavuz Selim Altunışık. After some careless play in the Westbam defense, Marcelino Chaime kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Arruda. The Westbam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Arruda should have stopped the shot. Tony Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnoldo Medina went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. When Palermo's Marcelino Chaime in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Westbam's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82nd minute, Mateusz Badanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palermo made a substitution. Ariel Austin replaced Isaias Grove. Palermo made a substitution. Patryk Wiater replaced Marcelino Chaime. Mateusz Badanowski hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 86th minute of play forced Westbam's goalkeeper Tony Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Arruda came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo's Arnoldo Medina. But to his dismay, Arnoldo Medina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Palermo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
