Spyros Zacharioudakis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Raimond Lenk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Chaime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Spyros Zacharioudakis got free with Alfredo Joey in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Piratas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Medina came free, but Raimond Lenk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimond Lenk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Medina in the 22nd minute of the match. Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Mino in the 26th minute of play. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Angelo Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piratas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Rolado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Joey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimond Lenk. Piratas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Arnoldo Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Chaime to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Spyros Zacharioudakis to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Santiago Mino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimond Lenk was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Palermo were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Piratas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saul Felo took the corner. The corner led Palermo's Saul Felo to fire away a dangerous shot which Raimond Lenk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Santiago Mino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimond Lenk came out and tried to block the shot, but Santiago Mino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 60th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Esteban Iztal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piratas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo the free kick. A hard shot by Saul Felo from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Raimond Lenk's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 69 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Rolado came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximino Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Raimond Lenk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palermo's Sven-Arne Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Piratas FC's zone, Marcelino Chaime stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimond Lenk came out of the goal and Marcelino Chaime tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cleto Onofre kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Piratas FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kryspin Degutis hit a great ball. Palermo's Patryk Wiater was substituted for Marcelino Chaime. In the 81st minute, Kryspin Degutis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Medina lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Raimond Lenk. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Mino got free with Raimond Lenk in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 92 minutes, Patryk Wiater managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patryk Wiater was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Rolado in the 95th minute of the match. Palermo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
