Tapera were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Bankero FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedê Figueiredo took the corner. 16 minutes into the match, Urbano Ortzi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tapera's Oswaldo das Neves. Oswaldo das Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliseo Sazon was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Dedê Figueiredo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dedê Figueiredo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Dedê Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Eliseo Sazon made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Tapera's Honorato Nardo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 27th minute, Honorato Nardo made a precise shot to the right of Eliseo Sazon. Bankero FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Dedê Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseo Sazon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedê Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Tapera's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Bertin came free, but Oswaldo das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st of the match, Vítor Luz tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Eliseo Sazon got in the way and made a wonderful save. The crowd rose to their feet as Tapera's Guga Passos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliseo Sazon. That made the score 6-2 after 43 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urbano Ortzi to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Tapera's Oswaldo das Neves got control of the ball when Bernardino Bertin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eliseo Sazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zachary Krzynowek hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, Bankero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Claus to maneuver through the defense. The Tapera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-2. After a rather tough play, Bankero FC's Cesar Claus got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Dedê Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliseo Sazon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Bankero FC defense, Vítor Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseo Sazon. The Bankero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseo Sazon should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Dedê Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseo Sazon. Tapera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
