In the 14th minute Ni Zhen Ying shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Lundqvist came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayan Baye in the 20th minute of play. Berndt Edelweiss's late challenge caught a Wargön's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berndt Edelweiss helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, The Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berndt Edelweiss to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikael Liberatore to make the kick off. The supporters of The Shadows booed when Wargön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Basso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Niklas Lundqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Tunberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Shadows were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Wargön to leave the ground with a draw.
