National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea De Toro in the 21st minute of play. Holger Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Melander in the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by National Team Cape-Verde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florin Răducioiu was slow to take the kick. During this time Hummerfiskarna's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Andrea De Toro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pål Sefastsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 37th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea De Toro in the 38th minute of the match. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea De Toro in the 39th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bennvar Post stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's goal looked a bit too open when Bennvar Post came free, but Holger Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes Hummerfiskarna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leon Fasgar who took care of the corner kick. National Team Cape-Verde's Mariusz Snow was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Holger Mattsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 57 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Bolli Bolla came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Hummerfiskarna were awarded a corner. Florin Răducioiu went to the cornerflag to take it. Pål Sefastsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bolli Bolla's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Lagerberg came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nils-Åke Lagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. In the 75th match minute, National Team Cape-Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Bergqvist to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Queirós came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arnaldo Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Hummerfiskarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 86thth minute of the game Bolli Bolla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pål Sefastsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the National Team Cape-Verde defense, Arnaldo Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pål Sefastsson. The National Team Cape-Verde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pål Sefastsson should have stopped the shot. Hummerfiskarna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
