Nacho González made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when George Buzoianu sent off a good shot on target. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amin Kurd in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Juan-Pablo Leyarte got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, George Buzoianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho González. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho González should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves George Buzoianu could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Nacho González however easily saved by the left post. After 19 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Enătescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattias Svan in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zsigmond Pál saved F.C. Baia Mare -MM- from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amin Kurd in the 24th minute of play forced F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Enătescu. In the 29th minute Amin Kurd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsigmond Pál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Octavian Podgoreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amin Kurd in the 38th minute of play. Astillero del Guayas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Salz in the 39th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Amin Kurd heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hugo Salz hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González got control of the ball when George Buzoianu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Buzoianu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by George Buzoianu in the 56th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Buzoianu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Nacho González didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Baia Mare -MM-. When Pavel Dordea fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s protests and gave Pavel Dordea a yellow card for diving instead. Pavel Dordea kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Juan-Pablo Leyarte got a free kick in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Zsigmond Pál successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Amin Kurd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zsigmond Pál having to interfere. In the 69thth minute of the game George Buzoianu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Masa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Mattias Svans short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Zsigmond Pál to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amin Kurd in the 78th minute of play. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Buzoianu in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Juan-Pablo Leyarte got a free kick in the 81st minute. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Buzoianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Vinström came free, but Zsigmond Pál reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amin Kurd in the 88th minute of the match. The F.C. Baia Mare -MM- support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
