This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marcus Ekrot as he didn't even see the shot coming. Abdi Revis took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pål Sefastsson. Pål Sefastsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Leonardo Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vykans Vikingar's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pål Sefastsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th match minute, National Team Cape-Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Snow to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Vykans Vikingar's Jose Indalecio got a free kick in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Cris Montoia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot did a great save. Abdi Revis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pål Sefastsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Bergqvist in the 77th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Trancoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pål Sefastsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonardo Trancoso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål was substituted for Martin Mutumba. Pål Sefastsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börje Stål in the 82nd minute. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 83rd minute of the match. Tansu İnanoğlu lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in National Team Cape-Verde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Pål Sefastsson had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Jose Indalecio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
