The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Indalecio in the 4th minute of play forced Svartvallstjärnens IF's goalkeeper Linus Ahlquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mats Hermansson fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vykans Vikingar's protests and gave Mats Hermansson a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vykans Vikingar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Vykans Vikingar:s Marcus Ekrot showed great skill when he stopped Björn Andberg:s penalty. When Svartvallstjärnens IF's Göran Cane in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vykans Vikingar's goalie prevented a goal. Linus Ahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Mutumba in the 11th minute of the match. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Cane, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Svartvallstjärnens IF were awarded a corner. Björn Andberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Björn Andberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot did a great save. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Cane in the 16th minute of play. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Cane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Göran Cane might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Ekrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göran Cane ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Göran Cane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göran Cane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Mutumba in the 32nd minute of play forced Svartvallstjärnens IF's goalkeeper Linus Ahlquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Cane in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Ekrot saved Vykans Vikingar from getting behind. In the 35thth minute of the game Göran Cane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Cane in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Ekrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Göran Cane came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Svartvallstjärnens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Cane couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Linus Ahlquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Vykans Vikingar's zone, Göran Cane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal and Göran Cane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Vykans Vikingar's Jose Indalecio in the 50th minute got a chance for a shot 50th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Svartvallstjärnens IF's goalie prevented a goal. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Cane in the 53rd minute of play. Göran Cane scored 2-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Ekrot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vykans Vikingar's Nono Rico was substituted for Eric Van Lint. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Cane in the 62nd minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vykans Vikingar's Nono Rico got a free kick in the 64th minute. Svartvallstjärnens IF made a substitution. Mats Ljusberg replaced Göran Cane. Martin Mutumba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Linus Ahlquist having to make a save. In the 71st minute of the match Svartvallstjärnens IF got a corner. Vykans Vikingar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Björn Andberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Henrik Hägert almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot did a great save. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Leonardo Trancoso replaced Martin Mutumba. 81 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Kvalfält came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Andberg made a great header on Svartvallstjärnens IF's corner, it was just that Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot managed to reach the ball for a save. Nono Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Ljusberg in the 88th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Mats Ljusberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Linus Ahlquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 93rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Andberg during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Svartvallstjärnens IF got a freekick which was hit by Björn Andberg. Vykans Vikingar's Abdi Revis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Linus Ahlquist but with some difficulty. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vykans Vikingar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Svartvallstjärnens IF.
