The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chen Ao Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over You Jing Jun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chen Ao Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but You Jing Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Ao Fan in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg You Jing Jun saved Domselaar from getting behind. You Jing Jun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Chen Ao Fan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Domselaar's You Jing Jun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Domselaar booed when Skövde AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Skövde AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chen Ao Fan in the 32nd minute. You Jing Jun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Chen Ao Fan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skövde AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chen Ao Fan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 40th minute of play forced Domselaar's goalkeeper You Jing Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. You Jing Jun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 41st minute of the match. Ni Lei Shi kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but You Jing Jun in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Domselaar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Skövde AIK:s goal. In the 59th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Norström to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but You Jing Jun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Kevin Keegan made a precise shot to the right of You Jing Jun. Domselaar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 68 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Adamson came free, but Leo Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. You Jing Jun made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Kevin Keegan sent off a good shot on target. Jerry Williams hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Krister Uggstedt. Richard Adamson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Chen Ao Fan took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised You Jing Jun. You Jing Jun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 81 played minutes Domselaar got a freekick which was hit by Ni Lei Shi. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 90th minute of play forced Domselaar's goalkeeper You Jing Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without You Jing Jun having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Skövde AIK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
