Chen Ao Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Su Peng Jian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chen Ao Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. Su Peng Jian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 41st minute of the match. Hjalmar Hägert hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitaliy van der Aa made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viktor Pettersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Georg Norström hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Emile Højbjerg came free, but Viktor Pettersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Pierre-Emile Højbjerg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Pettersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes Skövde AIK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pierre-Emile Højbjerg who took care of the corner kick. Viktor Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Staniscia, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Staniscia in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
