The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Scrotum Kickers FC's Per-Oskar Söderström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Scrotum Kickers FC from getting a goal against them. Erik Cantona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Per-Oskar Söderström came out and tried to block the shot, but Erik Cantona slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Per-Oskar Söderström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Cantona's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Joachim Forseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Donecea in the 8th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Per-Oskar Söderström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleksander Ødegården hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Oskar Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Cantona in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Gonzalo Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Forseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Saga TF's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Maradona came free, but Joachim Forseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Domamir in the 39th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Arne Botnen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosmin Donecea to make the kick off. Henry Ånger's late challenge caught a Scrotum Kickers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry Ånger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Saga TF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Ånger to maneuver through the defense. When Boguslaw Domamir came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Scrotum Kickers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boguslaw Domamir couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Saga TF's Joachim Forseth got control of the ball when Cosmin Donecea tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Erik Cantona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Per-Oskar Söderström. Scrotum Kickers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Cantona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Scrotum Kickers FC's Dawid Barycz was substituted for Dan Berglund. Saga TF's Trond Gilde managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Holger Falkrantz in the 75 minute of the game. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scrotum Kickers FC's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Söderström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Erik Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Scrotum Kickers FC's Richard Tinglöv got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Holger Falkrantz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Saga TF's Giannis Tsovolas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 87 minutes into the match, Saga TF's Erik Cantona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Oskar Söderström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Scrotum Kickers FC defense, Erik Cantona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Oskar Söderström. The Scrotum Kickers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Oskar Söderström should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saga TF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boguslaw Domamir was slow to take the kick. During this time Scrotum Kickers FC's players had a chance to rest. 97 minutes into the game, Trond Gilde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saga TF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scrotum Kickers FC the free kick. Trond Gilde hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
