Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trond Gilde in the 8th minute of play. The Shadows's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Cantona in the 14th minute of play. Joachim Forseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Li Fei Xu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Forseth having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Erik Cantona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saga TF's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Cantona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Basso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39 minutes of play, Saga TF's Erik Cantona made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Basso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joachim Forseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Holmgren in the 43rd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niklas Lundqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. The Shadows's Marcos Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Cantona in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 58th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Marcos Basso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Shadows made a substitution. Torgny Söderström replaced Slawomir Cisek. In the 65th minute of the match, Niklas Lundqvist got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joachim Forseth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Henry Ånger fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saga TF's protests and gave Henry Ånger a yellow card for diving instead. The Shadows's Rasmus Bark was substituted for Li Fei Xu. The Shadows made a substitution. Ni Yu Feng replaced Bo á Bø. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saga TF! When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, The Shadows's Herbert Holmgren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joachim Forseth. If Arne Botnen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Erik Cantona sped through The Shadows's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Basso. Ola Nordhagen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Arne Botnen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes The Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Holmgren. In the 93rd minute, Jo Gvardiol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Shadows's Rasmus Bark got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saga TF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
