With his leg Adrian Springfält managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the SJÖARED defense, Carlos Alberto Tevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Springfält. The SJÖARED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Springfält should have stopped the shot. Carlos Alberto Tevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Adrian Springfält made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Tevez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrian Springfält. Carlos Alberto Tevez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Carlos Alberto Tevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Springfält having to make a save. SJÖARED's Adrian Springfält proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save SJÖARED from getting a goal against them. Pål Sefastsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Ekegren in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Springfält saved SJÖARED from getting behind. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Gustafsson in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Fredric Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Tevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Adrian Springfält made a huge save. National Team Cape-Verde's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fredric Melander in the 31st minute. A nice corner shot did that Fredric Melander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adrian Springfält quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto Tevez got free with Adrian Springfält in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pål Sefastsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Lidman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

National Team Cape-Verde's Klas Bergqvist was substituted for Fredric Melander. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Klas Bergqvist was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match National Team Cape-Verde got a corner. SJÖARED's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leon Fasgar ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 58th minute, Bennvar Post left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The National Team Cape-Verde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaj Ekegren in the 62nd minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Helge Gustafsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pål Sefastsson. That made the score 3-1 in the 66 minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SJÖARED's goalkeeper Adrian Springfält, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SJÖARED made a substitution. Urban Rudberg replaced Kaj Ekegren. Adrian Springfält came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by National Team Cape-Verde's Bennvar Post. But to his dismay, Bennvar Post quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Gustafsson in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of National Team Cape-Verde booed when SJÖARED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Qvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klas Bergqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klas Bergqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, National Team Cape-Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Bergqvist to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isak Qvarnström.
