National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Merih Demiral ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Merih Demiral got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pål Sefastsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ludwig Modig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pål Sefastsson having to make a save. In the 45th minute, Yin Yang Wei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Lost Boys Sports Academy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lost Boys Sports Academy made a substitution. Coronel Llorente replaced Ludwig Modig. National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez was substituted for Bennvar Post. The corner went over the outstretched arms of National Team Cape-Verde's goalie and right to Jorge Quiroga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. National Team Cape-Verde's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 73 minutes into the match, Johan Sellberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pål Sefastsson, 0-3. Ivan Drago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johan Sellberg in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pål Sefastsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save National Team Cape-Verde from getting a goal against them. Ivan Drago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
