Per Tunström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Pål Sefastsson made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Fredric Melander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, National Team Cape-Verde's Henrik Örnberg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Pål Sefastsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Fagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

National Team Cape-Verde made a substitution. Bennvar Post replaced Carlos Alberto Tevez. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bennvar Post to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, National Team Cape-Verde's Hubert Fagrell threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bennvar Post, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bennvar Post hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Henry Fagerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rönnöfors FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while National Team Cape-Verde had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
